Noel Thompson headshotNoel is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Thompson Global LLC, owner and operater of Thompson Global LP, which is engaged in the investment management of client and proprietary assets. The investment strategy of Thompson Global LP is discretionary global macro.  Thompson Global Intelligence has a global network of intelligence professionals with extensive work and experience overseas, specializing in Corporate Intelligence, Due Diligence, Surveillance, and Security.  Thompson Global Special Situations participates as Adviser, Lender, and Principle in Commodity, Energy, Infrastructure, and Mining Projects globally.  Noel was previously employed as a Salesman & Trader in the Equities Division for Goldman Sachs & Co from 2005-10 before working for JPMorgan Securities from 2010-11.  Noel was also Chief Marketing Officer of Vukani Energy, which traded and marketed crude oil and fuel between South Africa, South America, and the Middle East.

In addition to his seat on the Beat The Streets Board of Trustees, Noel currently serves on the Boards of Governors for the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma and Hofstra University Athletics. In 2013 Noel was named Hofstra University Young Alumni of the Year.  Noel also serves on the Committee for Preservation of Olympic Wrestling (CPOW). Noel is the USA Wrestling Team Leader for the United States Women's Freestyle team for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
 
Noel previously served as Wrestling Chairman of the tony New York Athletic Club, which was established in 1869. Under Noel's leadership, the New York Athletic Club wrestling program won the first Women's Freestyle National Title in 2009 and the first Men's Freestyle National Title in over a quarter-century in 2010. He chaired the NYAC to four National Division 1 team titles, 20 individual National Champions, and two World Medals. Previously, Noel was also President of NYAC Wrestling. As a competitor, he wrestled for the New York Athletic Club placing at the 2001 US Open in Men's Freestyle.  
 
Noel graduated from Hofstra University in 2004 with a major in Marketing and a minor in History. Wrestling all four years, he was a three-time team captain. He is a four-time NCAA Qualifier -- three times making the All-American Round -- and amassed 130 career collegiate wins. He was awarded the Howdy Myers Award as Hofstra's Outstanding Male Athlete.  Attending Freeport High School in Long Island, Noel was a New York State Champion, two-time High School All-American, and was voted both Nassau County Wrestler of the Year and Freeport High School Athlete of the Year. He was also an Ironman Award recipient as Captain of the Wrestling, Football, and Track & Field teams.  In 1997, Noel led Freeport High School's football team to their first Rutgers Cup Trophy since 1969.  Noel lives in New York City with his wife Mildred and their son Noel Thompson III, AKA T3.
