altMike Torriero is a product of Rocky Point High School and West Virginia University. He was a state champion and two-time state finalist in high school, as well as a NHSCA All-American. He was a two-year captain and All-Conference wrestler in college.

As a coach, he has produced multiple sectional, state, and national champions, both with Beat the Streets, and with the club he started on Long Island, Journey Wrestling.

He has worked with USA Wrestling as an international team leader and Flowrestling.com as a commentator, and has been featured in the New York Times and on the Today Show. He has also served as a technical assistant for wrestling choreography on independent and major motion picture feature films. 

Mike has been instrumental in the success of Beat the Streets in the past few years. From running the Manhattan Training Center, which produced unprecedented on-the-mat success for New York City, to forging important partnerships with organizations like Up2Us, which have expanded the capacity of the organization, he has had a hand in many of our recent advances.
