On behalf of the Beat the Streets Board of Directors and staff, I would like to thank you for all that you do to better the lives of New York City youth.

With another season underway, preparations begin anew for the upcoming competition schedule. It is because of your work that wrestling is growing and impacting thousands of young student-athletes annually.

This year, we are rededicating ourselves to serving you, the coaches, whose hands-on service provides the critical leadership, example, and care that makes wrestling the successful vehicle for youth development that it is. Without your attention and effort, the great potential of the world’s oldest and greatest sport to build character, strength, and mental toughness is lost.

And so I thank you.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you about the Beat the Streets Coaches Summit. Led by BTS Board Member Noel Thompson, the event will provide valuable training as well as a formal dinner in your honor. Here are the details:

  • Saturday, November 19th, 2011alt

    180 Central Park South (at 59th Street and 7th Avenue)
    Manhattan, NY
  • Schedule
    • 5:00pm – Clinic covering technique, leadership, and program building­
    • 6:30pm – Dinner (Jacket and collared shirt required)
