YMCA Youth tournament set to take place on Friday, May 25th 2012 at the Cross Island YMCA (238-10 hillside avenue Bellerose, Queens) -- For kids ages 6 to 14!
Registration begins at 3:00pm and ends at 4:15pm. No USA Wrestling card is required.
Wrestling starts at 4:15pm and ends at 9pm (End time subject to change).
The tournament will consist of folkstyle rules and features round robin brackets along with madison weights.
Each wrestler is guaranteed two matches each and must be rated on a 1-5 skill level be his or her parent or coach. Level 1 being a "beginner" and level 5 being "advanced".
The admission fee is $10.00 for Cross Island YMCA Club members and $15.00 for non-club members.

Tournament Committee reserves the right to modify &/or adjust bout times, weight classes and divisions to promote wrestling.
Junior: (born 1992 & after and enrolled in grades 9-12) Senior: (born 1991 & before or 1992 if graduated from high school)

A USA Wrestling card is not required to participate.
RULES: NYS High School Scholastic rules modified for one 2 or 3-minute period.
Madison weight system will be used to determine weight classes.
Four to six man round robin brackets.
Total cumulative takedowns against all opponents determines placing.
Wrestling shoes are required, singlets are recommended, but shorts & T-shirts will be
permitted.
