Wrestling Clinic on February 1 with Columbia University Head Coach Brendan Buckley

Come and join Columbia University's head wrestling coach Brendan Buckley for a free wrestling clinic at Columbia University's Dodge Fitness Center on Friday, February 1, 2008 from 4:30-6:30 pm.

Following the clinic, stay and watch Columbia take on Bucknell University in a dual meet starting at 7:00 PM.

Brendan Buckley is in his eighth year coaching at Columbia, and has been helping the team make huge strides. In 2005, he was named EIWA Coach of the Year, and helped 165 lb wrestler Matt Palmer to become the first wrestler in 23 years to gain All-American status for Columbia. Palmer placed 8th at NCAAs again in 2007, making history as Columbia's first two time All-American in wrestling.

Buckley also assisted with the development of the Beat the Streets program in hosting a clinic for Baruch Middle School, Beat the Street's inaugural team, in 2005. Buckley worked with Baruch wrestlers again last spring, focusing on developing their technique on the switch from the bottom position, and giving them a motivational speech on what wrestling has done for him.
